How to update your virus strings.

 
1)     In order to download the latest anit-virus springs.  In the middle right hand side of the page you will see Updated on (the most recent day, month and year) File.  Click on File.

2)     The File Download screen will come up.  You want to make sure that there is a dot where it says Save this program to disk. Then Click OK.

3)      Then a Save As screen will come up.  It will ask you to choose a location on your main drive, to where you want to save this file.  Then when you have picked a folder to save the file to Save. Note: you can make up your own folder to save files on.  For example: a download folder like shown here or one called norton.  You can save the file as updates or change the name if you like.   Then Click Save.

4)     Your download screen will pop up and will start downloading to the folder you have saved it to.

5)     File Download will appear.   The screen will say Download Complete.  Then you want to Click Open.

6)     SARC Intelligent Updater will come up.   It will ask you if you want to update your virus definition file?  Click YES.  The update will run.

7)      Click OK and your done.   Your update is complete.
